 PortfolioWhat we have done the most, so far, is supply to other well‐known brands, those that want to be sure to be doing good whilst dressing you or your home. Not ones to normally name-drop, here we do drop a few: Levi’s, Quiksilver and Lacoste. We have also supplied new interesting designers, such as Story mfg. and prestigious stores, such as The Bombay store.  ExperimentationWe exist in a mode of continuous exploration and regularly play around with, and yet always stay serious about, dyes, fastness and fabrics production. For example, Aurovilian artist Jyothi is supported by The Colours of Nature. He uses the premises as his own studio (our colours are his colours, his creativity is our creativity!). We believe in unending education and others, who are like-minded, seek us out too. Jesus, the founder of TCoN, is at heart a scientist, never tiring of the multitude of possibilities that exist in this work. Visiting artisans all around is also a part of that. (More…) |
 Visits to the WeaversAlways on the lookout for new talent and keen to drop in on artisanal production, we keep revisiting certain spots and tracking down new ones. At Erode, a city in the state of Tamil Nadu, India, we are deeply engaged with denim production, and we also interact with more local places. In addition we have travelled to the Philippines, Bali and further afield. The range of weavers that we have encountered is truly astounding. Some simply inspire and others may be able to supply just what you need, through us or in collaboration with us. The closer to home the better. (More…) |
